Growing up, my parents had fragrant flowers in the backyard that would attract Monarch butterflies as they made their migration during the late winter months. I remember how I would sit and watch them as they would collect nectar from flowers and then fly away to continue on their journey. That memory is what inspired this fragrance.
I wanted to capture the timeless beauty of the Monarch butterfly while incorporating the sights and scents that these magnificent winged insects would encounter as they migrate through North America. Lilacs represent a flower enjoyed by the butterflies due to their intoxicating fragrance, while Eucalyptus is a favored tree where they roost in the winter months.
